I quite enjoyed this, although it is quite slight.

A married Tokyo housewife, bored by her husband, who is a typical Japanese company man, has a rather half-hearted affair with a rather more exciting man. After an unexciting affair, she decides that her love for her children prevents any further action.

That’s about it – Madame Bovary it is not.
