Never heard of this author, either. A well plotted and complex thriller.
A group of very disparate people arrive at a mansion in Welwyn Garden City for a party to celebrate the (floatation?, certainly economic success) of their computer gaming company. A really disparate group, two Scandinavian businessmen, a Dutch policeman previously involved with one of the female characters present to protect her against death threats and two sisters who have created and launched the company. They all have histories and mostly distrust each other. There is a brilliant dinner party episode, as good as most famous literary dinner parties.
The plot is very complex and a bit clunky at times, but it is a pretty good thriller and probably film-able, with a bit of good editing to structure the plot better.
