926. Reginald Hill - Exit Lines

Along with Ed McBain, Hill is my standby author for ‘going to bed about to finish a book and need something else to start’ as happened on 21/12 (at least Hill’s earlier books - the late ones are too long and complex. But I should try one).

This is pretty good; three elderly Yorkshiremen die on the same evening, one of whom apparently run over by a car driven by a drunken Dalziel, so mid Yorks finest and especially Pascoe and Wield are called out.

A pretty good police procedural; you know all the characters and interactions, and to an extent some of the plot twists are predictable, but a good read.
