889. Graham Masterson - The Last Drop Of Blood

Never heard of the author, just grabbed this from the library to read over the bank holiday week-end. And it is really good, probably one of my favourites so far this year.

Set in Cork, it is a pretty gruesome tale of gangland violence, but with a wonderful central character Kate Maguire, who is the police chief I think in Cork Town.

Really well plotted narrative, all the threads pulling together nicely at the end. Will definitely read more if I can find them; best thriller I have read for a while.
