867. Peter Robinson - Many Rivers To Cross

Good, but not one of his best.

Murders in N Yorkshire meet sex trafficking and people smuggling from central Europe.

Banks apart, the major character in this one is Zelda, girlfriend of Annie Cabbott’s father (who has appeared in a previous book) who has been sex trafficked out of Europe.

She murders the man who abused her, and flees to N Yorkshire successfully, but is aware that the Albanian gang will track her down, so cue the next book.

Meanwhile, Banks solves the murder of a young Syrian refugee who has fled to the UK and got caught up with county lines drug distribution.

I enjoy Peter Robinson, but this is a bit predictable and clichéd. Need to expand ambition a bit! P asked me how many women there were in Banks life – half way through none, by the end two!
