I am not reading very well at the moment, but this is a long and difficult book. About trees.
It is cleverly structured – Part 1 'Roots' introduces the main characters (who I found very hard to differentiate), Part 2 'Trunk' is the main body of the narrative (mainly protests against logging and deforestation) , Part 3 'Crown' lost me and Part 4 'Seeds' is the aftermath.
P loved this book; I’m afraid I didn’t.
