84. Henrik Ibsen - A Doll's House

Took some Ibsen plays to read on the plane en route to central Europe, This one, which I always thought was called 'The Doll's House', is not very good but perhaps an early excursion into the genre.

A woman, treated by her husband like the doll of the title, has compromised herself financially for his benefit, but he is scandalised by her misbehaviour, so she leaves him to escape the sham of her marriage.

That's about it.
