826. Steve Martin - Born Standing Up

Not too sure why P bought this for me. I am a huge fan of Steve Martin’s early films – ‘Dead Men Don’t Wear Plaid’ is probably my favourite film, although I have never worked out what Plaid is. But this is an autobiographical sketch about his early years as a stand up comedian, and apart from trecks as a start up around night clubs in the west coast, there was not a great deal that interested me. I think I needed a novel after the travails of Rupert Sheldrake (825).
