825. Rupert Sheldrake - The Science Delusion

Found this incredibly difficult, despite having ½ a degree in philosophy, although an O level failure in general science may have been relevant.

Basically a vitriolic attack on scientific materialism, by a man who is himself a scientist. It is overwritten in a very academic style, crammed with justificatory footnotes, but I think it would have been much better as a much shorter more punchy book. It is a book by an academic for academics and I think he believes that he has proved his case academically. Not really one for me.
