823. Colin Dexter - The Silent World Of Nicholas Quinn

Started this after my kindle ran out of power, mid way into 824. This was so baffling obscure, that I was relieved when Lewis sat down with him near the end and asked him how he had worked it all out. Lewis was as baffled as me when Morse (who appeared to have got bits of it wrong himself ) explained. Dexter used to set crossword puzzles ( and I am rubbish at these) and I don’t really enjoy books that are as deliberately obscure as this. The plot was about nefarious business in academic marking/grading, which to me rather summed up the level of interest.
