Fantastic book about Icelandic left-wing students encouraged to study in Leipzig in Cold War; the body of one is found murdered in the said lake many years later.
Brilliant on the corruptions, naivety and continuing hope of these blighted and disillusioned (or corrupted) kids and the aftermath.
Would make a fantastic film.
