785. Leonardo Padura - Havana Blue

I do like these books, although they take a bit of getting into, but are easier 2nd time round. This one features the downfall of a top, and of course corrupt, civil servant/businessman (in Cuba these things are blurred) with whom the count was at school and whose wife is an old flame of his. The inevitable happens (with the wife), or doesn’t really, due to a performance failurehe writes well and honestly about sex. The inevitable has happened to the husband too; whose body is found right at the end, murdered by his equally corrupt no 2 whose name he uses in his sexual encounters. I like these books although this is a poor summary.
