78. Arnaldur Indridason - Voices

Much better than no.76, more like no.75.

This guy is quite good; original plotting, three quite interesting cops, especially Erlendur, the boss, haunted by the death of his younger brother in a snowstorm when they were both kids.

Now haunted by his daughter, who was so screwed up by his divorce that she become a junkie, hooker to fund the habit and ended up aborting her child. And that is just one of the cops.

The plot here is about a briefly famous (until his voice broke on stage) treble singer, murdered in later life in sordid circumstance in a Reykjavik hotel.

Odd that there is more to say about this than the life of Wittgenstein.
