775. Ruth Rendell - A Guilty Thing Surprised

Bingeing on detective novels at present, partly to have a nice easy book to read in the COVID queue at Tesco’s on a Saturday morning. (A few cantos of Purtatory a fortnight ago were quite hard work, although not impossible).

This is basically about an incestuous relationship, the murderee being killed by the wife of her brother who spots them together in the woods. Quite short and quite readable but must move on to something a bit more weighty!
