Was trying to find a different book, which I think I read from the library so not on my Kindle, it appears. So re-read this instead. I think it is (or was) the most recent but not one of his best. Probably the follow up to Spook Street, as River’s father re-appears. Readable enough, but perhaps because set mainly remotes from London and Slough House itself (Wales in this case), it features mainly a selection of the characters and not the full crew, which I think is less rich. Two deaths though, the enigmatic JJ Coe and the glamorous and possibly gay policewoman who appears in Spook Street.
