737. Robert Spicer - From The Curates Egg

I enjoyed this enormously, but partly because I know Robert (a little) personally and our career paths have run slightly in parallel, and it covers a lot of ground I know.

Robert is (at least I assume from the title) the curate in our local church and is a friend of P. this is both an autobiography, written I believe for his children and grandchildren , but also a reflection on his faith. As a fairly strident atheist, I cannot agree with much of this, but the arguments certainly challenged me (occasionally) and he seems a very nice, unassuming man. So I enjoyed it a lot.
