734. Ken Follett - The Man From St. Petersburg

An Xmas present from Cristina next door, who is I think a fan and may even have met the guy. Very good, not the sort of book or writer I normally read. P said ‘a mixture of the Secret Agent and Downton Abbey’ which I think is pretty accurate.

The thematic mixes: suffragettes, Edwardian aristocracy, Russian anarchists, all on the verge of WW1, very well put together and would televise well. Probably I should read some more, but have a degree of negativity about bestselling novelists like Follett.
