I have enjoyed a couple of McBain’s recently, but not this one.
The main plot (about the murder of both a baby and her child minder) was good, but there were far too many poor subsidiary plots, particularly one about Jamaican drug dealers in New York and another about Bert Kling’s girlfriends that were poorly written, plotted and just distractions.
So poor.
