707. Kate Weinberg - The Truants

This was far better and I devoured it far faster.

A debut novel about kids at university and their beguiling lecturer Lorna, who teaches, inter alia, Agatha Christie, as in she has written a book about and lectures on Ms Christie. Who notoriously disappeared for a number of days and was an expert on poisons.

As the plot (and it is a good developmental one) develops, the similarities between Lorna and Agatha Christie are slowly pulled out and the death of a key character near the end remarkably Christie like in its (possible) planning and execution. But this could just be the narrator’s surmise.

Very good and well written.
