68. Ken Follett - Eye Of The Needle

An Xmas present from our next-door neighbors, who are obviously fans (I have never read one before).

Fast-paced WW2 thriller; the needle (Die Nadel) is a German spy whose weapon of choice is a stiletto, discovers the allied invasion plans for the Normandy landings, escapes to a remote Scottish island and has time for a torrid affair with an English rose before she discovers his treachery and drops a rock on his head as he flees towards a waiting U boat.

Fast-paced as I said.
