587. Mick Herron - Nobody Walks


Another book written on the periphery of Slough House, some of whose characters we meet and learn both JK Coe’s first names, the origin of his fears of being held captive by a man with a carving knife and (presumably) how he ended up in Slough House.

Herron is a very accomplished (thriller) writer, with something of the style of Dickens (who I don’t like) about him, so maybe better than Dickens? I prefer him a lot.
