558. Anna Quindlen - Miller's Valley

As above. I didn’t do this justice, but didn’t enjoy it enough to want to re-read.

Quindlen is obviously quite a well known and classy writer, and this coming of age novel about a young girl growing up and older in a valley her family have lived in for years, about to be deliberately flooded by the US govt, is probably very good but I just didn’t warm to it. Probably a function of my mood rather than the quality of the book, but that is reading for you.
