517. Mick Herron - Slow Horses

Originally read this (463) in January, as all his books were well reviewed, inter alia, by Ann Cleeves in the Radio Times.

There are a lot of Slough House characters and they are introduced in this book. I did keep notes for future reference!

This guy is a good writer; this one opens (and closes) with a notional character on a passing bus cursorily interrogating the house through the windows he or she can see through; 516 ends in Ch.17 with a hypothetical mouse ascending the stairs and interrogating each room from the perspective of a mouse.

This is good writing. I think I will buy no.3 as I am out of books, but want to avoid the over-reading of the same author that happened in Spain in the 490’s!
