515. Matt Haig - The Humans

Possibly book of the year so far!

An alien descends to earth (or in fact wakes up naked on a motorway near Cambridge) having been sent to earth to impersonate and kill Professor Andrew Martin, who has solved Riemann’s theory, which threatens the rest of the universe, as humanity cannot be trusted with this knowledge.

And so, amusingly and with all sorts of complications, our hero absorbs himself into human existence and begins to see its appeal, and to turns against his alien compatriots.

This is very clever and challenging and funny! Excellent, and worth re-reading.
