513. Georgina Harding - The Spy Game


Symptomatic of being short of reading ideas, buying another by the same author immediately after finishing the first (see David Mark, 491 ff).

This was OK but not as sharply or crisply written as no.512. A post war 1960’s family whose father had married a German woman in post war Berlin, fantasise (or do they?) whether their mother was in fact a Soviet sleeper agent/spy.

Maybe she was, maybe not; if it is clear I have typically missed a bit of plotting!

The book ends in Poland, North Rheine-Westfalia as it was pre war with the daughter trying to track done her mother’s origins. I don’t think she succeeds completely.

OK but not compelling.
