Tim O'Brien

489. Peter Robinson - Gallows View

Read this when my kindle died, mid week. An early novel, but actually very good.

Three plot lines, murder, at least manslaughter of an old woman, a peeping tom and delinquent kids engaging in robbery and rape.

All located tightly in Eastvale, Banks and Sandra, the victim of the peeping tom still together, Jenny Fuller the psychiatrist who Banks fancies, is present and the two are indeed pushed together.

Very good as an early exemplar; I had forgotten how good, although obviously an early novel in the series, which is now more expansive, although not necessarily better.
