482. Susan Lewis - The Moment She Left

The 3rd of Paddy’s library books, after burn out with Tana French.

If 480 was brilliant and 481 execrable, this was middling. The genre was unclear, was it chic lit, a crime thriller or something else, a little unclear.

The author is obviously a successful author and has written loads of books, I would guess (partly from the packaging) mainly for a female audience; it didn’t make me a fan.

Not wholly unlike the post Harry Potter book by JK Rowling, both at least set in a South coast town (I think).

There is a pun in the title that I had missed until a moment ago – a girl disappears mysteriously, and in parallel and elderly lady is dying and wants to fix her legacy before she goes.
