479. Tana French - The Trespasser

No 6/6 of the Dublin murder mysteries, of which I hoped to save at least 3 until we go on holiday. They are very long.

Antoinette Conway and Stephen (??) also appear in no.5 (477), but in this one it is corruption within the Dublin CID. A girl is murdered, there is an obvious soft suspect, and they are asked to investigate, supervised by another cop.

It becomes slowly apparent that all is not what it seems, the other cop has his agenda and Conway and Stephen are both rookie outsiders under pressure to close the case. But Conway in particular is a stubborn as shit feminist and is not up for this.

Pretty good, but the plot is over long and convoluted.
