463. Mick Herron - Slow Horses

I have never heard of the author and can’t make my mind up about the book.

The ‘Slow Horses’ are rejects from MI5 (or equivalent) who work out of a house called ‘Slough House’, near Barbican in London. They are a gang of rejects from MI5; would be agents who have fucked up, and are kept on the books for no very clear reason.

The plot is then a major conspiracy involving MI5 trying to dump the blame of a fucked up operation on the Slough House team who, as in all good fiction, vindicate themselves and solve the case.

Too many (apparently) minor characters for me ‘ need to re-read with a list of key characters’.

Good? – really not sure. Certainly not bad.
