42. Rachel Heath - Part Of The Spell

One of P's library books; she thought it was a thriller, but it isn't.

A bit 'chic lit' for me, about small-town life in Saffron Walden, but also with ex-London city wives mixing it with the locals. Also about a need to escape, which the heroine's mother does at a fairly ripe old age.

Reminded me oddly of 'Under Milk Wood', rather colourfully pastel sketches of a group of characters interacting in a small town.
