405. Simon Kernick - Relentless

This, I thought, was poorly written, but the terrific pace of the plot made up for that.

A man is minding his own business in his garden with the kids on a Saturday and gets an unexpected call from an old friend in some distress. He hears his address being disclosed to the killers by his friend. And so begins an unbelievably fast paced thriller.

As a fast paced thriller it is extremely good. 10/10 for plot; 4/10 for quality otherwise. Plot (slightly reluctantly) wins, so I will buy another to take on holiday.
