397. Håkan Nesser - The Living And The Dead In Winsford

Read this largely in the garden on a gloriously sunny Sunday. It is a very good mystery, I suppose, novel.

A Swedish TV personality locks her errant husband in a bunker on a Polish beach. Uncertain whether he has survived or not, she travels to Exmoor with her dog and hides there.

Exmoor is full of slightly sinister events and people, and she wonders whether her husband has in fact survived and is behind these. We don’t find out until the last few pages and car keys are relevant. A real page turner.
