372. Louise Penny - Bury Your Dead

No.6 in this series and I loved this as well, although it was long and at times difficult. A lot about the history of Quebec, about which I knew nothing but now want to visit.

Three interweaving plot lines: the murder of an archaeologist in Quebec, a continuation of no.5 and a rather bizarre series of flash backs as Gamache tries to save a colleague (unsuccessful) and a plot to blow up a huge dam (I think successful). But the narrative about Quebec is stunning.

If I have a criticism it is that her villains are often a bit arbitrary; there are many suspects in a lot of her plots but nothing compelling about the choice of perpetrator.
