32. Charles Dickens - A Tale Of Two Cities

I normally hate Dickens and bought this on my Kindle just to show my dad that you can get an out of copyright book for free. Thought I had better read it, although no.30 & no.31 were to create breaks from it.

I found the first 2/3 almost incomprehensible and quite tedious, but suddenly the French Revolution broke out and the last 1/3 of the plot clarified a lot of the beginning. I suppose this is good plotting.

Dickens does overwrite, large abstract characters (Vengeance did annoy me) but I might re-read this on holiday next year. [I didn't].
