309. Yuval Noah Harari - Sapiens: A Brief History Of Humankind

Tim O'Brien

Book of the year so far. A real helicopter view of homo sapiens starting pretty well with the science and biology, ending with cyborgs and artificial intelligence (and packs most else in between).

Made me feel literally spaced out, and that day to day concerns are quite trivial. An extraordinary and wholly non-partisan take on human history.

The brief summary of fascism as a minor variant on humanism is brilliant and very scary coming from a Jewish writer.
