241. Michel Houellebecq - Whatever (Serpent's Tail)


Undoubtedly the worst and stupidest book I have read for a long time.

The plot, if it has one, is about an incredibly cross Frenchman, with a pointless job that he loathes, being sent on various assignments to train customers on some new software his company has developed. This is interspersed with tedious bits of philosophising. That is about it.

Maybe I will avoid Patrick Hamilton.
