229. Håkan Nesser - The Mind's Eye


The 2nd Van Veeteren book and better and different from some of the later ones.

Here we do have more of a Sherlock Holmes type of mystery and one solved by deduction rather than chance or luck.

Begins with a man who has apparently murdered his wife, but cannot remember the evening in question as too hungover; as his memory returns he alerts the killer to his existence only to become (perforce) the next victim.
