179. David Hewson - The Killing

An adaptation of the TV series, a lot of which I had forgotten or missed. Very good, very long (700+ pages) but fast-paced.

Although there is not a lot of prose (it is mostly dialogue) the characters are pretty well drawn, better perhaps than on the TV. And he has changed the ending, I think. It has some similarities with a 19th century novel in the number of characters and their interactions.

There is a list of principal characters at the front; invaluable in a book of this length (could have done with that for 'The Idiot').
