170. Colin Dexter - Death Is Now My Neighbour

Haven’t read a Morse book for years. Dexter does write vigorous, wordy as you would expect, prose, and it is a fast page-turner of a read.

It is quite a traditional detective story, a basic whodunit with a fixed number of suspects, although not in a country house. But really is just a (good quality) variant on this well-worked theme; with Morse, Lewis, and Oxford as the backdrop.
