164. Andrea Camilleri - The Dance Of The Seagull


Inspector Montalbano populates BBC4 Saturday evenings in the gaps between big, dark Scandinavian thrillers (or currently Borgen, which is Danish politics).

The books are quite well-reviewed and I have never read one. It doesn’t translate that well, but this one (we had seen it on the TV) grew on me.

It’s about a fairly massive mafia involved plot to smuggle arms from the Russian mafia to an Arab country. However, the story is really based around a number of relatively trivial events that lead you there.

Would I read another? Only from a library.
