152. E. M. Forster - A Passage To India

I started this to avoid starting no.153 before our flight to Barcelona and have just spilled a glass of water over the keyboard, but it seems still to be working.

I enjoyed this a lot more than 'Where Angels Fear to Tread'; the depiction of the English in India and the attitude of the Indians towards them is well and subtly done (how do you spell subtle as an adverb?), and Aziz's relationship with the elderly Mrs. Moore is touching.

The end of the book however is a bit like 'War & Peace', full of ideological discourse which has lost its interest, at least for me.
