Not a Wallander story.
About an old man, living alone on an island/archipelago in the north of Sweden whose past life come back to haunt him.
First, the woman he never married, who leads him to the child he never knew he had, and then a woman whose arm he amputated by mistake when he was a surgeon. These people all gather around him on his island home. But he continues to mess things up.
Well written, the plot drifts a bit towards the end.
