1080. Janice Hallett - Alperton Angels

This is brilliant.

The full title is ‘The Mysterious Case of the Alperton Angels’ and it is brilliantly plotted. Like no.1072 (and little in between) the author had obviously plotted his out in detail before putting pen to paper. And it has a frontispiece that exactly matches the ending. Very complex plot with loads of apparently unrelated strands that do tie together in the end.

Although superficially difficult, once I got into it I found it more gripping and page-turning than her earlier books.

Brilliant.
