1065. Elly Griffiths - The Crossing Places

Recommended by Eve, our librarian. Crime meets archaeology. The crime is a plus for me, the archaeology less so.

Ruth, the central figure is a great creation, a feisty middle-aged academic archaeologist, funny and insightful both about herself and the world around her. But the link between her career and the murders/abductions of girls in her locality is a bit tenuous and I struggled to follow the map of the Norfolk coast, where most of the action takes place, with its sunken ‘henge’ (an inverted Stonehenge I think), and treacherous bogs.

I will read some more, but just found the plot linkage a bit tenuous.
