I began writing these reviews in April 2012, about a year after I had been quite ill.

 

It is just a reading diary, but as it developed I thought it would be fun to publish it as a blog. There is no pretence or intention that it has any great intellectual quality, and as I skim back through them, some of the reviews are a lot better than others. If the book stimulated me I will have had more of interest (I hope) to say than otherwise.

 

But it is really just a reading diary, and if you are a reader yourself, you may find these things (or the books) of interest.

 

Feel free to cross comment back and where I have totally misunderstood a book, enlighten me or tell me why you think my view is wrong.
